Volunteers are the Heart of the Shelter

Due to COVID-19 we are not taking volunteers in the Shelter at this time. But there are other ways you can still help!

Volunteering is a wonderful way to help the Shelter and its animals! Because of the small size of our staff and the large number of animals we care for on a daily basis, we rely heavily on volunteers to provide the love and socialization our shelter pets need to stay relaxed and happy. However, if you are interested in volunteering in other ways beyond direct work with our pets, we offer a variety of volunteer positions to suit people of all talents and interests.

It’s easy to sign up–just complete one of the volunteer applications listed below. Once we process and approve your application (please give us five business days), we’ll call you to set-up an interview. During our interview, we’ll talk more about the Shelter, learn about your interests and skills, and give you a tour of our facility.

Please note: Judiciary background checks will be completed on all applicants. For safety reasons, volunteers must be at least 18 years of age.
