Huey

Providing proper nailcare for your pet is a must, whether you trim the nails yourself or treat your pet to regular spa visits. But someone went the extra mile for Huey. When he was brought to ACSKC after Animal Control found him wandering around Worton, our staff quickly realized that somebody gave this puppy a pedicure by painting his nails blue!

Huey’s good looks go beyond just pretty paws; he has a gorgeous brindle coat and dark amber eyes. Though officially listed a mixed breed, his features most resemble a Plott Hound. At 10 months old, Huey is still growing into his feet, but that doesn’t stop him from running full-speed around the play yard, or chasing after laser pointers.

Huey will need a home that can offer him a lot of love, but also a lot of patience. He is a bit of a leash-puller, and could use some obedience training.  Huey is also very timid around men. While we think he can go to a household with a male presence, the family will need to be very understanding that it will take a great deal of time for Huey to feel comfortable. He may come around more quickly if he has a confident, playful dog as a companion.
