Carrying On at the Shelter

Adoptions are available by appointment

Though we are closed to the public, we have continued to make adopting your new best friend possible! Please see our current list of available animals and fill out an adoption application to begin. Once reviewed and approved, our staff will contact you to arrange a time to meet.

We’re still taking donations

If you, too, have reorganized your space during quarantine, consider donating those blankets, towels, pillowcases, and other linens to our shelter. No pillows, please.

We are always in need of pet food*, treats, litter, and various essentials. Here is our complete donation list for ideas. Please leave donations inside or in front of the garage in order to maintain social distancing. Give us a call once you drop off your items and we will gladly send you a receipt.

*Note that for sanitation reasons we cannot accept bags of food that have already been opened or portioned into ziploc bags.

Want to Volunteer? Here’s how you can help

We are so thankful to the dozens of people who have inquired about volunteering these past few months. While volunteers are not permitted in the shelter at this time, there are plenty of ways you can help our animals:

  • Share our posts on social media. Help us reach a wider audience and pair the perfect adopter with one of our animals!
  • Foster a pet. Save a life and involve the whole family in this act of service by providing temporary care to our critters.
  • Become a Kennel Sponsor. A gift that benefits both you and the animals residing with us. You’ll receive a certificate as well as updates on the animals who are housed in the kennel you sponsor. This sponsorship makes a great gift for a loved one or can be donated in honor of a beloved pet.
  • Donate items from our Wish List. From trash bags to cat toys, every bit of generosity counts.

  1. I would love to foster a pet. I live alone and do not work so I would be able to give a small dog or cat a loving temporary home.
