Midnight, a 5 year old black tuxedo cat, is a staff and volunteer favorite. He may look just like any ole’ black and white cat, but he is anything but ordinary!
Midnight entered the shelter just about the time of kitty cold season. A runny nose landed him in the isolation room with a whole slew of sneezy kittens. He should have been in and out quickly, however one of those kittens developed ringworm and he was automatically stuck there due to being “exposed”. As a precaution the isolation room was shut down and he was sentenced to a 5-week quarantine with all the kittens. It didn’t take long to discover that Midnight didn’t mind at all. He immediately took on the role of “nanny” or “Mr. Mom,” you might say. He let the kittens follow him around and was always stationed somewhere in the room so that he could keep an eye on everyone. One particularly scared little kitten named Sherman was stuck to Midnight like glue. So Midnight took Sherman under his wing.
Now Midnight and Sherman have made it to adoption. Midnight gets along with all the different cats in the adoption room regardless of their personalities. He loves to spend time in the outside enclosure greeting visitors as they enter the shelter. But Midnight is still always mindful of his little buddy Sherman, and checks on him often during the day. Midnight would make a great addition to any home. He is going to make some lucky family very happy. Please come visit this all-star purrrr-fect cat today!!
