Lieutenant Dan

Lieutenant Dan

Lieutenant Dan

We all know that the position of Lieutenant is an honorable one. Characteristically brave, strong, independent, and great leaders. This week’s Pet of the Week most definitely lives up to his name: meet the honorable (and adorable) Lieutenant Dan!

This 2-year-old cat surpasses any expectations that his name might imply. Lt. Dan is a big, strong tabby on the outside and a great big mush on the inside. He will hop into your lap, put his front paws on your shoulders, and nuzzle his head against your cheek. He is always gentle and fair with the other cats in the shelter. He enjoys spending some of his time outside in our enclosed cat run on nice sunny days, usually with his pal Kit Kat.

He seems to accept the fact that his owner was not able to keep him due to her health – and he makes the most out of life at the shelter. She definitely raised a kind and loving cat who enjoys the company of other cats and people alike. He has remained resilient and upbeat, the way any good leader would.  If you are looking for the absolutely purrrr-fect cat who will enlist your heart, then you MUST come meet loveable Lieutenant Dan at The Humane Society of Kent County today!

The HSKC Shelter is open Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays-Saturdays 11am-4pm (closed Wednesdays & Sundays) and adoption applications can be filled out and submitted online ahead of time to speed the process.
