Honey

This little grey and brown tabby couldn’t have a better name! Honey is the sweetest kitty you will ever meet. She was found in a grocery store parking lot when she was just 8 weeks old and was in need of help. Honey was a malnourished, tiny little kitten with battle scars that showed she had been through a lot. Honey was taken to the vet and then cared for at the shelter. She was a happy little baby who had no problem gaining weight. The problem seemed to be that every time she started to recover from one thing, she would pick something else up. The vet says it’s pretty common for kittens that have had a rough start to also have weakened immune systems. So Honey was sent to a foster family for a few weeks to soak up all the love and healing that she could. With all the attention she received, and in a germ-free atmosphere, Honey thrived!

Now she is back at the shelter looking better than ever and on a quest to find her forever family. She blends in well with other cats, but doesn’t much mind being solo either. The one thing Honey loves more than anything is people. She purrs and flirts and is just in heaven when being held. She’s just a little thing, about the size of a 4 month old kitten as opposed to her actual age. But at 8 months old, her immune system has now kicked in and she is healthy.

You must come out to the Humane Society of Kent County and meet this adorable little munchkin for yourself. Be careful…she will wiggle her way right into your heart and sweeten your life!

        • It would help the process along if you could complete an adoption application ahead of time so that you are pre-approved. You may submit an application right from this website. Thanks so much.
