Dexter and Katie

Meet Dexter & Katie!

DEXTER & KATIE

Some things in life are better together. Two is definitely always better than one and nothing is better than two cats! Cats can form very tight feline friendships, and a bonded pair can be difficult to separate. Bonded cats that have been together for many years may suffer depression or behavioral issues when separated. People often think cats enjoy solitude, but they enjoy being part of a pride and can develop very deep friendships with other feline companions.

Meet Dexter and Katie, quite the dynamic duo! Their world was turned upside down when their owner had to move and could not take them with her. These five-year-old cats quickly won the hearts of staff members and volunteers with their loving personalities. Dexter and Katie are two cats with one heart. They do everything together. They eat together, sleep together, cuddle together, and play together. More importantly, they become extremely anxious when separated. We at the HSKC are trying our hardest to get Dexter and Katie adopted together.

Like any good couple, Dexter and Katie balance each other out. Dexter is a very handsome black and white male with super soft fur and a loving disposition. Dexter is more confident and friendly at first. Katie, on the other hand, is more cautious and takes longer to warm up to people. But once she feels comfortable, she is just as loving and friendly as her best friend.  Both cats are laid back and get along well with other animals.

Dexter and Katie are both neutered/spayed, up to date on their vaccinations, and from June 14th through the 20th, we have discounted their adoption fees! To adopt both cats will only be $50. We are dedicated to finding Katie and Dexter an adopter who will be patient and gentle with them. It is certain that they have lots of love to give to the purr-fect person!!
