Buck is an adorable little black and white Beagle/Jack Russell/Heinz 57 mix. He arrived at the shelter as a stray, and though he is a smaller dog he has had an extended stay. For the most part, little dogs are at The Humane Society of Kent County for about a minute before they are scooped up. There is even a waiting list for small breed dogs! But for some reason poor Buck has been overlooked.
What a shame that such a young, happy little dog is stuck in a kennel at a shelter day after day. The first thing you’ll notice about Buck is his super sweet disposition. He likes to give his person affection and is mindful of commands. He is adorable and animated when playing with other dogs his size. Buck has been consistently house broken and keeps his space clean. When Buck was introduced to a kitten in the adoptable cats room, he gave her a gentle little kiss on the tail!
This little dog has been waiting way too long for a forever home. Hopefully Buck will soon discover that good things come to those who wait!
The HSKC Shelter is open Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays through Saturdays 11am to 4pm, and adoption applications can be filled out online ahead of time at www.kenthumane.org to speed the process.
